Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration 2018

Atlantic City’s annual Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration — presented by La Casa Dominicana of NJ, will be held from 12:00pm to 2:30 p.m. Friday, September 14, at Police and Firefighters Memorial Plaza (located between City Hall and the Atlantic County Building) This free event will feature music and dance performances, plus special guest appearances.

Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15, by celebrating the histories, cultures and contributions of citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America.

September 15 marks the anniversary of independence for Latin American countries Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua. Mexico and Chile celebrate their independence days on September 16 and 18, respectively.

El pasado jueves 9 de Agosto fue un histórico día para el Programa de Inglés como Segunda Lengua de La Casa Dominicana de New Jersey, la citada organización ha culminado con éxito el primer ciclo de ESL en el Atlantic Cape Community College, en esta primera Ceremonia de Graduación 28 estudiantes recibieron certificados en ESL Beginning Low.
